Recap: ‘It’s Grim Up North’ Exhibition

Last night it might have been grim up North, but it was buzzing in East London! Of course it was because of the exhibition by One Trick Pony, Gimme5 & Stussy UK.

It’s always nice to attend an event at the Reebok Lounge; it usually involves a free bar, good tunes and something really great to celebrate. On top of all that, you are surrounded by nice kicks. ‘It’s Grim Up North’ was no exception to these loose rules; the drinks were free, the tunes were rad and the the art was wicked! The artists involved should be proud, because the art on display at the Reebok Lounge at the moment is top-notch UK street-art.

As I arrived, I was informed by Andy, who was running tings, that I had just missed the break-dancers. I was gutted then, and I still am. Learn from my mistake people…if you are going to attend anything cool, don’t try and be cool by turning up late.

Another problem with arriving late, is that you miss out on the highly limited (only 100 pieces) Stussy tee that was made for the event. But it’s worse than that, because there was still XL’s left hanging up to taunt me. Luckily for me, and you, the tees are dropping at The Hideout in London today. Be warned: you’ll need to make a serious effort to get there before sizes start to disappear!

I strongly suggest that you get down to the Reebok Lounge before the exhibition ends on Friday and peep all the art for yourself. If you are intending on reaching, don’t forget to book an appointment by emailing

Congrats to everyone who was involved, it was a wicked night and a great show. Hopefully we’ll see another one soon?
