Recap: Kidrobot Jon Burgerman Signing

This week we made our way to the recently opened kidrobot store in Covent Garden to witness a very special appearance by artist Jon Burgerman. For those unfamiliar with him, Burgerman is a Nottingham based illustrator famed for his doodles and crazy sketches, he has worked on a number or projects with kidrobot over the years and there are sure to be plenty more in the future.

After a few technical hitches leading to the signing session running a little late, the event was in full flow as quickly as the door could be opened. Kidrobot had a bunch of Burgerman toys, stickers and posters in especially for the event and these were snapped up pretty rapidly, leading to frequent necessary replenishment! I wasn’t sure what the turnout would be like for the event, seeing as the information was dished out fairly short notice, but there was a substantial crew braving the harsh weather to queue up outside the store and get their 1/1 Burgerman.

The event ran on until after 9pm with Jon taking plenty of time to doodle away on various Munnys and a bunch from the new Munnyworld collection. There were also a whole load of other bits that people had brought along to experience Burgerman’s creative flair, including a skateboard deck, rag doll and a KR New Era cap! Check out the photos below to see how it all went down. Big thanks to kidrobot London and Mr. Burgerman himself for having us along!
