Last night we were kindly invited to celebrate the 90th anniversary of British heritage brand, Farah Vintage. Here’s our rundown on the prestigious event…
Firstly, I need to commend Farah Vintage on their choice of venue. It was our first visit to the Soho Sanctum Hotel, and it’s a very nice place to be. The vibe was instantly very inviting and I felt like I was being well looked after, with a warm welcome from everyone in the room.
Next thing on the list is the food, and might I add that is was free food. Props where props are due, the food was next level. I’m talking mini portions of fish & chips, curry and bangers & mash. Oh yes. Gotta point out though…it was a bit odd to be served the small finger food after the mains, but I wasn’t complaining, it all tasted great and that’s what matters!
The music was on point, which as a DJ I think is very important, supplied by the Schizodelic Sound DJs. I was also pleasantly surprised by the live act, Daley, who had a very good voice. Peep his stuff on his myspace – think a less husky James Morrison from Shoreditch, except he’s from Manchester.
As expected, plenty of well dressed people being very well behaved and loosening up as the alcohol set in. But I don’t think anyone got out of hand.
Over all, a very enjoyable evening. A massive thanks to Farah Vintage for throwing a wicked party, and big up on turning 90 you old dog!
Props to Aaron for working with the camera we lent him and not his usual one, and a massive thanks to Joss for lending the camera – life saver.
