New York streetwear giant 10.Deep has teamed up with adidas Originals to bring an original and understated rendition of the Stan Smith Mid to our feet.
Named the ‘Raw Dogs’, the name references the rawhide laces and monster mouth graphic that sits on the insole. Keeping things nice and simple, 10.Deep have decided to go for a subtle branding approach, even though they have managed to get away with slapping a huge logo across the medial side of each shoe. It works! A combo logo on the heel showcases a modified 10.deep logo incorporating the infamous trefoil. Finished off with a 10.Deep tab stitched onto the tongue in reference to their work with sticker tagging, this shoe is all about small details.
Covered in muted Iron premium suede, this is one of the nicest collaborative projects adidas have done this year so far. However, I am biased because they have included a gum sole … and I’ve always wanted to see more gum soles on the shelves.
If all this attention to detail wasn’t enough, these beauties are dropping 10th April at Hanon. (Get it?)
