I’m not usually a fan of very aesthetically European sneaker brands, mostly because they look like they make shoes for people who want to seriously offend the Italians at a fancy dress party by going a bit OTT.
Quick, a Dutch sneaker brand from 1905, do tend to lean towards this overly-European look at times, but they also have a few pairs of kicks that would happily sit along side some OG’s in a collection. This latest kick, the Juweel, appears to sit in line with a few of Germany’s masterpieces, the Adidas Gazelle and Puma Dallas, which is no bad thing! The combo of suede and perforated suede works well on this kick, adding textural differences without loads of crazy materials needing to be involved and keeping a clean, simple look.
If you’re feeling this shoe and wanting something a little bit different from the usual OG sneaker head selection, then these will be available from next week at Ark Clothing.
