Rebel8 Summer Collection

San Francisco’s Rebel8 release their Summer 2010 collection on our shores and it does not disappoint. Consisting of five screen printed Tee’s, two premium 5 panel caps & one classy New Era, this drop has some serious product.

The tee designs stay true to Rebel8’s roots (if it ain’t broke…), coming in simple colour ways with each one hand drawn by Mike Giant and screen printed on 100% cotton, for that extra authentic feel. For fans of the infamous ‘Die Young’ tee you’re not going to want to miss out on the ‘Company Of Three’ & ‘Mans Ruin’ tee’s, which come in black & white colour ways. The ‘Mans Ruin‘ design takes the idea of a classic old school tattoo and incorporates modern gangsta themes. Taking smokin’ hot girls and covering them with dope tattoo’s is definitely a winner though, granted they’re not on a level with Marilyn Monroe but who is?

The ‘Badge of Dishonour’ tee features the slogan ‘Too High To Die’ across the chest in a decorative tattoo style typeface with ‘No Mercy’ sitting above it. Inverted crosses add more defiance into the mix. The design comes in black & white colour ways.

I think it’s the headwear selection which really shines here. The New Era is solid. It’s simple with necessary details and the quality looks amazing, a red embroided Rebel8 logo and crest sit on the front and back of the crown. On the flip side of the crown, a blood red crowd of skulls covers the inside for that final touch. Seriously cool.

Two 5 panel caps finish this collection off in a positive way and when I say positive, I’m not only referring to the overall design but also a small detail which features on the front panel which I think is an interesting little touch. ‘PMA’ sits subtly among the logo and typography but has a powerful meaning, it stands for ‘Positive Mental Attitude’. Coming in the choice of grey or beige, each hat offers something different.

The summer drop is available now from select retailers including Fifty Fifty.

Yep nice to see another new face on here. R8 is so strong and this collection is IMO their best ‘set’ of tees to date. Everything is on point – no flourishes, no over the top. Simple and strong, means you can rock whatever jeans/trainer combo you want with them
