Nike Air Max 1 (Grey/Gum)

Every collection needs at least one pair of Air Max 1’s. It’s a timeless classic. The shape and visible air unit is instantly recognizable and continue’s to reign supreme today. It’s been a favourite for years and has appeal to a wider audience other than the sneaker collector.

Over the years the Air Max 1 has been subject to a lot of various make-ups, collab’s and whacky colourway’s. The last year or so there has been somewhat of a drop in the quality of material’s used on the Air Max 1’s, and the shape has been hardly consistent. Apologies if I’m sounding a little negative here, but I’m sure you share the same feelings when I say I’ve got a lot of love for this shoe, and I just want to see quality materials and shape making a comeback on the AM1.

This new make-up is far from awful. A dope all grey and white upper really compliments the decent shape that appears to have made a come back. The gum outsole adds that much needed finishing touch. This is the kind of release we like to see here TDS.

Hopefully this is a sign that the general release AM1 is back on it’s feet.
