Recap: Nike Sportswear Athletics Far East Launch

Last Thursday night saw the official launch party for the greatly anticipated Nike Sportswear Athletics Far East collection at 1948 in London. Here’s a look inside …

From entering the party, it became obvious that the atmosphere was a little different to what we expected; it was so civilised! Not to say that we didn’t expect it to be, but there was a very pleasant calm throughout the evening. Maybe we were still suffering from post messy-floor stress from the Crooked Tongues BBQ. Who knows.

As the collection is linked to the far East, it makes sense that the grub on offer was all sushi, and very good sushi might I add. Drinks were flowing faster than people could drink them, with a fully stocked bar and waitresses walking round topping people up just incase they had forgotten about the bar or where it was.

On the night people were poking and prodding the new garments and kicks, getting a feel for them and doing the usual preliminary tests that people do. The evening also saw the limited edition Pink Nike Lunar Elite Trail Mid go on sale with it’s wooden box, of which only 18 were made! If you rush to 1948 there may still be a few, but I can’t promise anything.

A friendly vibe, great people, good music, a good location, incredible food, free drink and excitement in the air about new Nike product … we couldn’t have asked for a better evening.

Make sure you peep the collection here also.
