This classic early ’90s asics runner has been subject to some very, very nice colour-ups the last couple of years. The last ARC double release was one of our favourite’s of the last decade.
The good thing about the asics Gel Lyte III is that we don’t have to rely on limited collabs to get decent make-ups. An unusual colour choice for these later months of the year maybe, but these two ‘pastel’ colourways will do nicely for next summer and even on a cold, crisp sunny day of November. Similar vibrant pastel colours are used on both shoes but there’s enough variation to set the two apart. It’s one of those releases that bridges the gap between the male and female sneaker fan, appealing to both.
For those who already own a pair of Gel Lyte III’s, you will know the comfort level is off the richter. The split tongue is a little strange at first but after many wears it’s obvious why it’s there. The Gel Lyte III is a classic example of an amazing running shoe.
These are available from Crooked Tongues now.
