Last week we were invited down to celebrate the opening of the third flagship store of Dutch denim brand Denham in Shoreditch, London. It is quite an impressive place to say the least, so we took some photos for you all to see …
Situated at 32 Charlotte Road in Shoreditch, the store is tucked off the main road and perfectly positioned opposite an awesome cafe for some mid-shopping bacon sarnies. We took full advantage of this, sipping tea whilst admiring the building from the outside. Denham have gone in hard, with the ground floor being the store, the 1st floor an office, the 2nd floor a women’s showroom and the top floor a men’s showroom, all continuing the same trademark Denham theme throughout.
The Denham motto is embossed above the shops window, reading “The truth is in the details” and this has been applied to the store itself also. With little trinkets all over the place and vintage sewing machines for making alterations, it’s like a playground for your eyes and a shrine for denim geeks.
I have to say that the launch party itself was possibly one of the finest events we have attended. Everything ran smoothly, the store looked stunning and as the night set in it was lit up by a huge light across the street like something out of Batman. Free food and drink was a given, but no fancy nibbles, decent sized portions of pasta and soup kept emerging from the cafe over the road. Every champagne glass had a Denham logo printed on it some how … that’s how much they love their details!
Keep your eyes peeled on the site for our exclusive video interview with founder Jason Denham and head designer Liam Maher coming very soon.
