Garbstore x Penfield 1930s Life Preserver vest

London menswear store and brand Garbstore have come together with infamous outdoorwear brand Penfield to create a 1930’s inspired gilet in two colours with some interesting details not seen before on any Penfield garms.

Taking influence from lifesaver vests used in 1930’s civilian lifeboats, this gilet has something a little special to it’s look. Using wooden toggles on the front at the top of the gilet and a non-locking Talon zip in Silver, combined with the 30’s styled stitching to house the down stuffing, this nylon gilet stands out from regular Penfield ones. I’d even go as far as to say that it’s hard to tell it’s even Penfield at all. The collaborative “LPV” branding printed on the inside of the collar is a nice detail in a vintage fashion.

Coming in both Red and Black with cream linings and Brown leather pocket zip-pulls and coat-hanger, both body warmers are here perfectly timed as the Winter starts to creep it’s way into our lives.

For those wanting a gilet that’s a little bit different and with a great back-story to the design, this is the perfect choice. Available now from Garbstore for £150.
