After Jansport’s previous success with their Urban Framework collection, they have expanded it to create a sturdy range of denim backpacks for the urban hiker. Here’s an exclusive look at the forthcoming collection …
The collection consists of 6 bags, all kitted out in a Black denim with Brown detailing, a colour choice that work so well. Branding comes in the form of a heritage metal plate with the iconic Jansport logo embossed onto it and then pinned to the top of each bag, coupled with an Urban Framework patch badge stitched on the side of the bags with “Kilimanjaro” in a nice typeface right through the middle to remind you of the original nature of the backpacks. A leather tab with Jansport founder Skip’s signature stitched onto it finishes off the bags with a personal touch, which seems fitting as Skip still sits at the top of the company.
These bags are hard wearing, functional and most importantly damn cool looking! The deep Red lining sits well as a stark contrast to the bold Black & Brown outer, adding a luxurious feel. Using some of Jansport’s most iconic sillhouettes, there’s a bag for your every need in this collection. The classic Right Pack holds a special place in most people’s hearts from their school days and is more than familiar to the eye, where as the Full Frame Pack is for those looking for something more adventurous with it’s aluminium frame system, that if you can rock it well, looks absolutely rad! Each bag seems to have it’s own personal character, yet they sit together so well as a collection. When I first saw these I was excited to say the least, and they still give me that excitement now.
Expect these to be landing in Selfridges next month (November) with prices ranging from £60 to £240.
