Vans AW10 Footwear

There’s been a huge rise of popularity of Vans’ footwear in the UK, they just seem to have an appeal which draws in people from all angles. Rude boys, hardcore kids and even the most elitist sneaker head is partial to a pair of Era’s (especially on a rainy day). Those familiar simple canvas and tonal colour make-ups were a perfect choice for the summer, which seems a distant memory now. This time, Vans have switched it up completely and provided us with a footwear drop that has some perfect options for the winter.

Using classics such as the Chukka and Sk8-Hi, this collection see’s a huge selection of Vans’ favoured silhouette’s get the workwear treatment. It’s nothing new, pretty much every brand is doing it right now, but Vans have pulled off a collection that’s a very strong look. I won’t go into too much detail, there’s enough in this drop for me to go OTT and bore you to death. All you need to know is that the rich, deep colour pallette and material choice is very on point and this drop has everything you need to keep your feet cool, calm and collected in the British winter. The fleece lined Sk8-Mid in it’s tonal colour-up, the Vulcanized Camo and the California Mid Skool 77 are fine examples of how this collection rolls.

The classy, premium and functional approach that Vans have taken in this drop has paid off tremendously. I can’t see too many of these pieces turning into beaters…
