After the first drop of AW10 footwear from HUF hit the UK, the second instalment is ready roll and it takes on a more rugged approach.
I was pleasantly surprised by HUF’s first footwear line, it had elements of old skate shoes with modern styling and it’s something that’s evident within this second drop as well. The colour choices are typical of the colder seasons but it’s definitely not a bad thing, keeping things very simple on most of the make-ups. Materials such as strong hemp and suede make these pieces suitable for skateboarding and for day to day wear in the rougher conditions. Tough vulcanised, cup and those lovely gum outsoles all play a part in adding the perfect finishing touches to these make-ups.
The woven HUF tags and leather ‘H’ logos are not too over played and provide the right amount of detailing. It seems the brand have got each combination crafted to work so well, with touches such as the white laces on the navy and red ‘Hupper’ silhouette, adding a seriously crisp finish. Respect to HUF once again for pulling out a strong collection of footwear.
These will be arriving at stores next week such as Fifty Fifty, Urban Industry, Crooked Tongues, Slam City Skates and Flatspot.
