Mark McNairy x Bass Weejuns

With 140 years under their belt, classic American shoe makers Bass Weejuns know a thing or two about quality, and with Mark McNairy being a designer synonymous with ivy league style it was inevitable that the two would collide at some point seeing as they are both timeless American heavyweights. Once together, what else would they produce other than a pair of moccasin deck shoes.

They are produced with a really dark, rich leather upper and a white deck sole with the detailing being the main upheaval into the 21st century. These details are pretty hard to miss with the white laces and silver lace loops standing out bright and proud against the deep brown upper, not to mention the light coloured stitching used in the moccasins construction.

I’m really keen on this collaboration, the fact that these two classic American brands who would usually adorn the wardrobes of future presidents, lawyers, judges and doctors can come together and produce something with all the features of the originals, whilst tweaking them slightly as a nod to their relatively recent (I remind you they have been around since 1870) fashion conscious clientele, creates an awesome end result.

These are now available from Present for £225.
