Nixon The Player (Gunmetal)

The Nixon Player is one of our favourite Nixon watches, and may even be regarded as THE Nixon watch, which is odd seeing as it’s not one of the oldest models, but this Gunmetal edition helps prove why.

A smooth and classic piece of timepiece design, the Nixon Player has earned it’s place as a modern classic and has had a handful of variations including the more recently popular Rubber Player, taking it into a more playful and youthful wrist accessory. This gunmetal edition sees the watch return to it’s smarter roots with a greyscale colourway and a bold Red second hand that demands it is taken seriously.

Aside from the near perfect design, this Player packs a decent amount of technology for it’s price including a Japanese Quartz mechanism, custom 100 metre stainless steel casing and strap, hardened mineral crystal face and of course the infamous player diamond (and yes, it’s real).

You can get one of these modern classics now from Urban Industry for £190.

BIGG watch have you still got your syn?? love this colour way!!!

  • Tom Breaks

I disagree, I’ve had the Nixon ‘Banks’ since I was 18 (I’m nearly 23) and that thing shits all over the Player, which is simply inferior.

  • Synamatix

    I’ve had a Nixon Player since I was 16 … 2 years longer than you Tom ;-).
I prefer the Player to the Banks personally, think the design is smoother, but the Banks is also a nice timepiece.

Alex are we even the same age? Also you suck for trying to one-up me on Nixon ownership!! The Banks is a superior watch! Players like its little brother!

  • Tom Breaks

Also, for the record, I got a Nixon ‘Rocker’ when I was 16 because Dave Grohl had one, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world!

  • Synamatix

Haha touché sir! I remember the Rocker … absolute classic! And for the record, we are under a year apart in age.
