Video: Berlin Tradeshows part III

Time to end the recap of our trip to Berlin last week on a massive high point, with a video shot by Suffoca Boyce, covering everything we saw and did during our 4 days in town. By now you may have seen a few bits of coverage on our visit to Germany to check out the tradeshows… On our third day in town we split rank, and while I went back to the BRIGHT show to catch up with a few more brands, Synamatix and Boyce headed to the third show, the independent menswear showcase, SEEK.

SEEK is an off shoot of the larger Premium show, and featured a selection of smarter men’s brands, including Norse Projects, YMC, Sixpack France, and the Fred Perry Laurel Wreath collection (as well as their Blank Canvas project with Stussy). Unfortunately I didn’t get to check out the show, but look out for a few clips filmed there in the video above.

In the evening we reconvened and made our way to dinner with Lacoste and the legendary LA party photographer The Cobra Snake. Lacoste had enlisted the help of the cobra snake to photograph their forthcoming Lacoste L!VE collection, and the plan was to dress a group of models in the new line, and let them loose into a random club night in Berlin, while he was on hand to snap all the action. We had a decent chat with Mark Hunter, as he is more formally known, about his history as a photographer, starting out working alongside Shepard Fairey at various art shows across the US, and making his way into many an LA club (while he was still underage) to capture pictures of the party goers. After dinner we joined the Lacoste team at the club and spent the evening surrounded by confetti and Lacoste clad teens, while listening to the sounds of Jan Driver and French Fries.

Check a few pictures from the party below and the video above for an insight into the whole trip. On Saturday we had a quick tour around town before packing up and headed home. It was a great trip over all, and we’ll definitely be back in the summer. If you missed it, check out Part I and Part II of the recap for more images and plenty of information on upcoming product.

Big thanks to Suffoca, Lacoste, Pointer, Stone Island, Wood Wood, Firmament, Sane Communications, All Gone, Bread & Butter, Bright and SEEK for making this trip so great.
