After giving you a taste of what was coming from this collaboration between Vans and Carhartt, here we have a closer look at what this special limited edition release has to offer.
Utilising a combo of Carhartt’s hard-wearing and lightweight ripstop fabric with some buttery suede, these three shoes have a certain toughness that most Vans Authentic don’t have. The make-ups are subtle coming in some colours that Carhartt are familiar with, officially named ‘Black’, ‘Cypres’s and ‘Wall’ with another signature colour contrasting to those earthy tones on the sole in the form of a bright orange. It works.
Carhartt brand detailing sits on the tongue, footbed heel and under the Vans tab on the upper. It feels like a lot of branding but from a distance these look subtle. The special box that holds the Authentic’s has ripstop detailing and the matte card is a great touch with the subtle embossed branding from Vans and Carhartt.
These release today and are available from Carhartt stores throughout the UK.
