Clae SS11 Lookbook

Each collection Clae puts out never seems to disappoint me and this Spring/Summer is no exception. Seemingly able to produce a shoe for almost every day-to-day situation that you could possibly find yourself in, Clae have once again put together a collection that has everything covered. I think Clae themselves say it perfectly, “By redefining the boundaries of casual footwear, Clae fills the void between sneakers and shoes”.

Over the next few weeks we shall be looking deeper into a selection of the releases, but from the lookbook I can happily say that I look forward to seeing the ‘Hockney’, ‘Strayhorn’ and ‘Bruce’ in person and quite possibly splash some cash on them. Each shoe comes in a number of colourways and variations of materials but for me the simple denim canvas ‘Bruce’ looks like a perfect summer kick for enjoying a few cold beers in the fading sun after work.

Lookbooks are designed to make you want to buy into a ‘lifestyle’, and by this definition it has fulfilled its job (Who can say no to sandy beaches). All in all the collection is strong, but as of late I’ve come to expect nothing less from Clae, there is usually at least one or two pieces for everyone.

As for stores and prices hang tight and we’ll keep you posted.
