Nike Air Force 1 sneaker speakers by Nash Money

The genius mind that is Alex Nash, more commonly known to sneaker fans as Nash Money, has spent the last few weeks working on a project with Intercity and Havana Club called Inspired ingenuity. The outcome are these two beautiful Air Force 1 Sneaker Speakers, bound to make the sneaker fiends drool.

Inspired Ingenuity is a competition where artists, musicians and other creatives are invited to create something from nothing, using every day objects and transforming them into something a little more special, referencing the spirit of the people of Havana themselves, and their ability to create what they need from what they have. Nash was commissioned to create a piece with his own flair to promote the competition, resulting in this amazing creation. The two white Air Force 1’s (a sneaker legend in themselves) are fully functional as speakers, complete with all the nobs on the midsole and inputs on the upper.

I’m not sure if this qualifies as art or technology, or a little bit of both, but whatever they are, the Sneaker Speakers will no doubt be an object of much desire to sneaker addicts, which makes it that much more painful that these are a 1 off. Have a look at some detailed pictures below, and find a lot more of Nash’s work in our interview and on his website. You can find all of the competition information at Havana Club.
