New Balance 576 Flimby (Olive & Navy)

As the Spring New Balance start to hit the stores, we see one of the first Flimby shoes from the collection, the 576 looking at its best in two suede makeups.

The 576 has been getting a lot of attention recently, and all though a lot more understated than it’s more famous brothers (the Pub Pack and Lake District Pack) this monochrome suede duo of Flimbys seems to do the silhouette more justice. I can’t quite put my finger on what it is, maybe it’s the singular colour upper, the 2-colour foam outsole or the small detail that the Union Jack is in its usual place on the tongue rather than the heel, but something about these shoes just seems so natural on its silhouette.

With an almost entirely premium suede upper, hits of white leather including the “N”, popping white and grey outsoles and tonal laces, these beauties are perfection in design. So simple, yet so effective. Being made in Flimby means that they are some of the best made runners on the market, which always makes me proud to be a UK sneaker head.

Expect to see this duo hitting Crooked Tongues very soon and I expect they will be disappearing just as fast.
