Palladium LITE SS11 Mens

Spring/Summer 11 sees the launch of Palladiums LITE collection and with breathability, durability and versatility at the core of these products (along with being stupidly lightweight) you have a sure-fire year-round piece of footwear.

Looking at the collection, I’m not massively keen on the super-hi tops, far too militant for my personal tastes, but to be fair to Palladium it isn’t really surprising seeing as their history has its roots in producing aircraft tyres and later, boots for the French Foreign Legion, so a little militia was only to be expected. The star of this collection for me though is the lo’s, having seen these in person and picked them up I can assure you they live up to their name – these are seriously lightweight. Cream in colour and set against the classic Palladium outsole, the exaggerated shape of which creates an almost cartoon like appearance making these a Lo with tons of character.

It appears Palladium have really thought about the technical fabrics being used in this collection, with DriLex linings to control moisture and odour throughout the warmer months, and the outsole moulded in EVA to cutdown on weight whilst maintaining durability and comfort. It’s nice to know they were designed with usage in mind.

These will be available from the Palladium online store and all good stockists from March 15th.
