Tomorrow night sees the launch of a new collaboration between Puma and infamous Scottish retailer Hanon, who have worked on the brand’s classic Dallas model. Hanon are no strangers to collaborative footwear, and have cracked out a fair few special editions in their time, but this looks like another one for the history books.
Hanon have worked on four premium suede and nubuck versions of the Dallas, inspired by a childhood growing up, skateboarding around the area’s whiskey distilleries, the sportswear (and footwear) of the time, and the flavour of the 1980’s as a whole. Each shoe features a tonal upper with contrasting midsoles, but the real treat is the argyle patterned footbed and sockliner, reflecting the collaboration’s Scottish routes. The Puma x Hanon Dallas is available in Grey, Blue, Mushroom and Burgundy, with the latter colourway exclusive to the Aberdeen based store. Each shoe is finished with Hanon’s ‘Keep On Burning’ logo on the tongue, and comes packaged with an argyle scarf, keeping things nice and patriotic.
The collection is due to launch on the 1st of April, but we’ll be able to give you a better look at the shoes shortly, after tomorrow’s main event at Callooh Calley (65 Rivington Street, London EC2A). But for now, have a look at some of the artwork created to accompany the drop, which gives you a little idea of where it’s heading. Look out for the exclusive Puma Dallas at Hanon soon.
