Readers will know from our last post on Wrangler’s ‘Stunt’ marketing campaign that we’re avid fans of Wrangler’s marketing innovation and online presentation. At the end of the day though, it all comes down to the product and in this season’s ‘We Are Animals’ collection there is little to fault.
I can’t lie and say that in comparison to other brands, especially in the european market, Wrangler are doing anything as innovative in their products as they are online but it’s incredible to see a denim brand consistently creating relavent collections. By that I mean I’d wear everything on offer by the brand for this season. The collection features washed and raw denim (entitled ‘unworn denim’), heavily distressed and repaired denim, chinos, stonewashes and green cast denim along with your classic heritage fit denim shirt. The emphasis seems to be very much on the washes, transforming the American ‘Cowboy’ heritage brand into something that would be seen as a classic ‘workwear’ collection by us Brits. What we’re essentially looking at are modern twists on what Wrangler has done well since 1904. It’s nothing new, but it’s done well.
The collection is available now from all good Wrangler stockists (find your nearest one here).
