Goodhood X R. Newbold SS11 Collection

This season sees the sixth offering from the ongoing collaboration between Goodhood and R. Newbold and as always, polka dots are on the menu. From the looks of things camo is set to make a come back this year (did it ever go away?) so this collection has more than enough to keep your inner sniper happy, heavily animal-print themed as well, which is no surprise.

My personal highlights are the camo field jacket, the camo backpack and the camo shorts, but I’m really impressed with the reversable chambray/check shirt – the pops of colour in the chambray is a touch that I had to mention, just look at it! All three shirts in the collection feature a runaway double chain stitch on the side seams, with the white and washed indigo leopard shirt also having an invisible button down collar. It’s little touches like this and the camo linings that tie the whole thing together.

Each piece (aside from the jeans and chinos) also has a label patch at the waist with the quote “Working it out together” and it’s good to see that they are, yet another strong collection from them both. I’m loving these seasonal collections, I just hope they keep it up.

Pieces are selling out fast so head over to the Goodhood website to pick them up!

Nice, clever to tone leopard print down to blue on blue. Good to see R. Newbold about on these shores again.
