GRIND continue with the photographic print style that is starting to become their trademark, with three new, politically charged T-shirts, the first part of their collection for Summer 2011.
The collection, titled ‘Politics As Usual’ conveys various political messages. A picture of Silvio Berlusconi with the words “Cosa Nostra” (Mafia) below, Margaret Thatcher wielding a chainsaw, paired with the words “Vote or Die”, and finally, an activist throwing a missile, and the words “You do what they told you. I won’t do what you tell me” which conjures up images of Rage Against The Machine’s self-titled debut, the track Killing In The Name, and all the political power packed into it. The images are great, I love the Berlusconi piece, and they’re significantly different to the rest of the UK pack’s output.
The three T-shirts release tomorrow (April 28th) and will be available from the GRIND London online store.
