Following on from the Original T-shirts we presented in our introduction to the brand last month, UK brand Purpl drop a second 4 piece T-shirt pack, centered around their logo. The Crest tees are the next part of the brand’s SS11 range, and continue exactly where the last ones left off.
The Crest ‘stamp’ evolves the logo with the addition of more text, arranged in a circle around the Purpl logo. The text reads “Purpl Band London est MMX” – a statement which for me, carries the ethos of this brand rooted in BMX culture – no frills, no gimmicks, exactly what it says on the ‘tin’. Again the tees come in a small variety of colours – black or white tees with contrasting print, and black or white with (you guessed it) purple print.
While there’s nothing to get too excited about here, I really like how the brand have stepped through the door, not shouting too loudly, but simply saying “this is who we are”. The excellent lookbook below continues that sentiment, and features the new Crest design along with the Original. The four tees are available now from the Purpl Online Store. Keep up to date with the brand’s adventures at Purpl.
