Unit 44 have continued to smash it with their White Walls project, this time bringing Insa into the mix to create his biggest piece of ‘GIF-ITTI’ to date, with a huge mural titled ‘Online Love’.
The White Walls project has seen the Unit 44 crew invite some of the world’s biggest names in street art to each take over a wall, in their surroundings of Hoults Yard in Newcastle, and make it their own. The new piece by Insa has to be one of the best yet, utilising his innovative GIF-ITTI technique to create a moving mural, which only comes to live when viewed online in ‘gif’ format. Over three days, Insa painstakingly painted, re-painted and painted again, to create the piece you see above.
I love what Unit 44 are doing, adding Insa to the list of artists which already includes She-One, ROA, Jon Burgerman and Kid Acne – that place is going to look incredible when it’s all complete. Find out more at Unit 44, and check out a video of the piece’s journey below.
