Burkman Brothers SS11

Burkman Brothers bring their usual flair to the table with this colourful and pattern-riddled Spring/Summer 2011 collection, including a selection of shorts, vests, shirts and jackets.

It seems to me that this collection is almost entirely about patterns, be it a navajo print, check, stripes or camo, almost every item in the collection is covered entirely in a pattern of sorts. There are a few exceptions to this, but all-in-all it’s pattern themed … and it works. Not only does it work, but it’s a good time to be going hard on the patterns, what with camo having a big resurgeance this coming Winter and check shorts holding a strong place this Summer (mostly patchwork check shorts in the Ivy League style).

Being Burkman Brothers, the build quality of each item will be exceptional, using very well selected materials to ensure that the garments are light, breathable and not cumbersome. Perfect for Summer. My personal favourite from this collection has to be the Anorak Dobby Jacket in it’s navy and red pattern with big wooden buttons.
