Sneaker customiser Alex ‘Nash Money’ Nash has taken his unique Sneaker Speakers a step further, teaming up with Puma, Sneaker Freaker and the legendary MF Doom to create a pair of giant Suede Speakers with a Doomsday twist.
The internet went a little crazy for the few days after images of Nash’s original Sneaker Speakers surfaced, and it’s bound to do so again when people get a look at his newest creations. Incorporating to larger-than-life Puma Suedes, the new sneaker speakers feature a built in amplifier, and therefore function as a hi-fi system in their own right. What started as a bit of a joke soon became reality as MF Doom joined Nash to create a special ‘Doomsday Edition’, making reference to a number of the inspirations behind his music. The speakers feature a metal casing and engraved plates, colour LEDS, have their own ‘ignition’, and plenty of other knobs and buttons.
Nash has excelled himself once again, even when we thought his last effort was unbeatable. You can find the full story at Sneaker Freaker online, and in the new issue, but for now, check out some images of the creation and a short video interview with Nash himself below.
