Nike Lunar Venture & Air Venture Vintage

Nike add more colourways to their recently revived Venture in both Vintage Air and Lunar form.

Personally, I’m loving the “V Series” that Nike are doing at the moment, including the Vengeance, Vortex and of course the Venture. For me, it’s more about the vintage renditions than the new Lunar variations, which I never thought I’d be saying. However, these three iconic runners just sum-up what I love about OG running shoes – plenty of white/cream mesh, quality suede, tonal uppers, splashes of colour and metalic highlights. So fly.

This particular drop sees the Air Venture Vintage in an off-white colourway with a completely tonal upper, detailed by some soft-coloured metallic extras including the Swoosh, heel-tab, tongue-tab and tongue piping. Being a Nike Vintage kick, the sole is discouloured like the ever popular Vintage Blazers, but I’ve got to point out how much better it works on a foam sole unit rather than the vulc sole. Additional colours on the sole finish off the shoe nicely without being overly bright. Over-all, this is a straight up win for me.

On the Lunar variation, Nike go for a much more modern colourway, completely blacking the upper, allowing the pop to be brought by the white outsole and lime green detailing. This is, without a doubt, something of a sleek number from Nike, crossing over the running and lifestyle boundaries effortlessly. Stylish yet functional, the highlight of this shoe has to be the sole unit – the mix of black, green and white on the sole just seems to hold my attention, especially with that red Nike+ logo popping through.

Both pairs are available now from Urban Industry as well as all other good Nike retailers.
