Nike Zoom Kobe VI ‘FC Barcelona’

These couldn’t have come at a better time really. LA’s surprisingly early exit from the NBA Playoff’s this year got ugly towards the end, with some seriously classless acts on the court, and that wouldn’t of combined well with another Lakers gold and purple inspired make-up surfacing with no championship to coincide with it.

So, this well timed release see’s the focus turn to football, with a FC Barcelona colour-up that sits comfortably with the VI’s style and fit. Ever since the Kobe IV, the line has pushed the barriers of low cut basketball shoes and it was partly due to Kobe’s love of football that inspired this design aspect. The shoe utilise’s Barcelona’s home uniform colour palette, with well placed hits of deep red and yellow accenting the navy blue. It’s definitely an excellent make-up that gives this otherwise pretty bold shoe a subtle twist, especially for those not usually accustomed to the boldness of modern basketball footwear.

These didn’t last long at retail spots but luckily House Of Hoops London have managed to get a restock, so be quick.
