This week, Newcastle’s Unit 44 (the people who have currently got the street art world talking with their White Walls project) launch their gallery programme with a collaborative exhibition from Remi/Rough and Stormie Mills, titled ‘Selected Moments’.
The pair have been working together for years, creating individual works of art across the world. Their work boasts a very unique juxtaposition of bright, block colours, and dark character imagery, which for me has a very Tim Burton-esque feel. The exhibition will feature 10 pieces all of which are being created this week, in house at Unit 44, by the two artists. Below is a sneak peak at the work in progress, to give you an idea of what to expect.
In true Unit 44 style, the exhibition will also include a large mural as part of the White Walls project. If you’re local to Newcastle, I suggest you check this one out, and keep a close eye on what Unit 44 are up to. The exhibition opens with a preview this Thursday (26th). All the info you should need is on the flyer above.
