King Apparel x Starter Black Label series II

King Apparel’s relationship with Starter has been well publicised over the past 6 months. Swaping their long-running love of New Era caps with Starter’s legendary snapback block, King kicked things off at the beginning of 2011 with a series of three caps, followed it up with drops in April and again in May.

This week, King Apparel announced their second series of caps as part of the Starter ‘Black Label’ Project, which sees the sportswear manufacturer work with a select number of streetwear brands, King being the only in Europe. In the four cap series, two designs are evolutions of those from the first, whilst the other are first time concepts. First up is another flip on the classic L.A. Kings cap, as popularised by the N.W.A., exchanging ‘Los Angeles’ for ‘East London’, and second is a re-working of the LDN dagger design, now in the black/green/red Gucci colour-up. Completing the set are the navy/yellow ‘Legacy’ and the grey/white ‘Reign Supreme’ with it’s golden laurel wreath.

This is another impressive collection from King, and in my opinion, easily tops the first. The caps will be available in limited numbers shortly at select King accounts, and will be made available for pre-order from King Apparel. More images follow below.
