Nike Air Max 90 (Black/Varsity Maize & Grey/Volt)

The Air Max 90 has been subject to some crazy experiments over the last two years or so. The Current, Moire’s and Huarache 90’s especially spring to mind, with there mixture of retro and futuristic aesthetics worked in a ‘frankenstein’ cut and paste design manner, that actually turned out with solid results.

Here, there’s a return back to the classic and more familiar design of the Air Max 90. These two make use of urban tones such as grey and blacks with accent colours such as volt and maize. Leather and mesh construct the uppers on both shoes, also a familiar combination. Both shoes are nothing particularly mind-blowingly new in the AM90 realm, but provide an excellent choice of two new colour-ups of this classic silhouette.
