Oi Polloi to launch Cottonopolis

It is with great pleasure that I’m able to inform you of a large development in the Oi Polloi camp – they’re launching their own in-house brand, Cottonopolis.

Currently working hard to put the finishing touches to the first drop, the folks at Oi Polloi have managed to keep this rather large bombshell pretty quiet! But the cat is now out of the proverbial bag, and I’m very pleased to be helping it find it’s way out. Cottonopolis looks set to become another fantastic addition to the UK menswear culture, with the first drop including Italian knitwear, a selection of English made leather belts and a classic 4-pocket parka jacket (an early prototype is featured above).

Below is a series of shots of Oi Polloi co-founder and Cottonopolis designer Nigel Lawson taking a little trip down to the factory where the parka is being produced, only round a couple of corners from Oi Polloi itself in Manchester. A nice little behind-the-scenes style featurette on his OG bicycle.

I’m not sure if this brand is going to be exclusive to Oi Polloi or if it will push on to become the UK’s version of Norse Projects (the in-house brand of Norse Store), but I am watching with an eager eye. Keep locked on the site in the next week or so as we show you full styled shots of the first drop as and when it happens.
