Stüssy x Nike Sky Force 88

Back in the late 1980’s and throughout the 1990’s, Nike’s ‘Force’ sector inside the Nike basketball camp was generally associated with tough big men such as David Robinson and Charles Barkley, who got their business done down low in the post and paint.

This collaboration between Stüssy and Nike definitely captures the old Force vibe, with four new make-ups that have tough aesthetics and colour palettes. There’s a mixture of military gear and street style on these, with the colours and camouflage patterns playing on that idea. The tongue features the classic Sky Force logo with an integrated Stüssy logo that is subtle and has also been transferred to a collaborative t-shirt that fits nicely in to this release. Finally the ankle cushioning, durable materials and circular pattern on the outsole’s forefoot make for a shoe that can be utilised on the courts as well on a day to day basis.

These will be available from The Hideout on Saturday 9th of July 2011.
