Fifty Fifty Clothing ‘Drop Two’

The boys at Bristol’s legendary skate store Fifty Fifty have come together for their second drop of home-grown apparel. The first collection came out of nowhere and turned out to be a huge success – as a Bristol resident myself, it’s a rare day in town that I don’t see a Fifty’ branded tee or sweat. For Drop Two, the store continue where they left off, with photo based shirts and two snapback caps.

The text and photo based tees (‘Hype Two’ and ‘Blonde’, above and below respectively) stand out – nice and simple, and strong graphically. The next two use images from a recent team trip to NYC, well executed with big, sepia toned prints on black tees, the second of which referencing Big L’s ‘Ebonics’ on the reverse. The sports-styled ‘Sluggers’ pocket T-shirt is a bit much for me, but there are three nice and simple logo based shirts which counteract that nicely.

Drop Two is completed by two snapback caps, black/red and black/grey with ‘Hype’ across the front and the Fifty Fifty name on the reverse. Again, a little too much for me, but I have no doubt that they’ll fly out (in fact, the grey version has already, and awaits a re-stock on September 10th). The new collection is available now from Fifty Fifty, both online and in store.
