Crooked Tongues x New Balance Made In England 1500s

It’s been while since we’ve seen the guys over at Crooked Tongues get creative on a sneaker and execute a collaborative effort. After wetting our appetites with the interesting preview of this release, full info and images have now been released and as expected, these two coming together does not dissapoint.

New Balance and Crooked Tongues aren’t new to the collaboration process and also to each other. That strong relationship is evident with this excellent new take on the fan favourite 1500 silhouette. Celebrating that friendship, this release is a carry over from Crooked Tongues’ past collaborations with New Balance, which feels like a long time ago with the last creative output back in late 2006. Quality always dominates quantity though, and this double release makes good use of the futuristic 1500 design. Both sides are a damn fine example of people doing great things in the sneaker sphere and also in the UK.

Both make-ups are killer, with each design maintaining a certain character that is unique while complimenting the panelling and beautiful shape of the made in England 1500. Premium leathers, nubuck and mesh toe boxes construct the uppers which is a classic runner combination that never fails. The colour application is superb, with sublime uses of bright accents and contrasting tones which make great use of the intricate panelling on the 1500 design. Extra laces and subtle touches such as the ‘crooked edition’ print on the insole provide the right finishing touches.

These will go on sale on October 15th at Crooked Tongues, and will hit select stockists worldwide the following week.
