GRIND London ‘Night Bus To Venus’

GRIND London haven’t been gone from our pages for long, but this week they’re back with a new T-shirt collection titled ‘Night Bus to Venus’, centered around the idea of escapism, with help from their own twist on a Eurodisco classic.

The collection is named for the 1978 album ‘Nightflight to Venus’ by Boney M, making reference to a more relevant form of transport for any Londoner, and the idea of escaping the ‘daily grind’ for somewhere a little more peaceful. Two black tees, one featuring a large photo-print of George Clinton, the white ‘Night Bus to Venus’ tee, laid out in typical GRIND fashion, a white pocket tee (which I must admit, did remind me a little of this), and the piéce de résictance, a simple, military-styled, grey longsleeve, make up the collection. I’m  a big longsleeve advocate, and they don’t get nearly enough love in my book, so this gets huge props from me. Finishing things off, GRIND have produced three fold beanie hats, in red, navy and dark grey, with branded woven labels on the front of each.

After not being bowled over by the UK brand’s last releases (The Wonder Years and The Forbidden Dance), I really like what GRIND have put together this time (and not just the longsleeve tee). The new collection will be available from stockists and from GRIND London as of the 17th (Saturday). Let us know what you think below.
