Pangaea – ‘Hex / Fatalist’ [Hemlock]

Pangaea returns after his last stomping release on Hessle Audio back in February, this time stepping up the heat and dimming the lights even further with ‘Hex / Fatalist’ on Hemlock.

Not one to release too frequently, Pangaea likes to lurk in the darkness and surprise you with a release with little warning. That’s exactly what happened with this new two track offering from the Hemlock camp. Taking it back to the good old days before wobble bass took on an ear-bleeding and erratic form, Pangaea brings two tracks that pay hommage to the dark days when Dubstep was creeping out of instrumental Garage. Mix that sound with some old-school Jungle inspired vocals and you’re starting to get a picture of this release. To sum it up very simply, it’s hard and dark … real hard and dark.

An absolute blinder of a release, both tunes rip a dance floor apart. Keep your eyes on your local record store for when this hits the shelves on 12th September (12″ vinyl & digital). In the mean time, check the tunes and artwork below.
