Nike Air Max LeBron 9

The LeBron story continues with the next annual release in this popular signature line. Last years LeBron 8 signified a new start for LeBron James, while also changing and progressing design wise to suit various stages of the NBA season.

The Nike Air Max LeBron 9 seems to have picked up where the LeBron 8 P.S. finished. It’s a little more lightweight starting out this time, unlike the 8, with the full 360 Air Max unit being replaced with a 180 unit combined with Zoom technology. New Flywire and tight mesh patterns provide a lightweight but resilient upper, which provides un-paralled support and breathability. There’s a new logo in place that subtly plays on LeBron’s “King” title, and also brings the LeBron signature series up to date with last years move to the Miami Heat and jersey number switch. This black/read colour-up is pretty simple, with hits and accents balancing out this mean looking shoe.

This is a solid sequel to the LeBron 8, with a subtle aesthetic change that keeps things moving nicely within the LBJ signature line. Where the LeBron 9 really shines is in the performance department, which is obviously what comes first.
