Last week saw the release of something special; for AW11, American outdoors giants Filson and Sebago have teamed up to produce a collaborative boot called the Osmore, which if I’m honest, have me hinting to everyone and anyone that these are on my Christmas wish list. They’re incredible.
Bringing the best of the two companies together sounds like a brilliant idea, but it’s only when the creation materialised that you get a grasp of how much of a perfect match they are. Combining Filson’s signature oil finish tin cloth fabrics and Sebago’s premium leathers, you’re left with a boot which is not only waterproof, but wind and abrasion proof as well. Sit all that above a Vibram mini-lug outsole and you’re left with a boot that’s unstoppable.
The final nail in the coffin for me is the fact that their colour choices are spot on, for both the fabric and the leathers. The fabric is unmistakably Filson and the leathers are unmistakably Sebago; working together effortlessly and not fighting it out for the limelight. For those that aren’t too into the boot shape, hold tight to see what the duo are bringing next season (hint hint).
You can pick these up now from Sebago’s new Regent Street store and online for £175.
