Perhaps a little later than most, the Fall collection from Seattle, Washington’s Flying Coffin is due to land in the UK shortly. It’s the brand’s most accomplished season yet, including tees, fleece, headwear, and a couple of excellent outerwear pieces.
The collection includes 3 styles of snapback cap – 6 colours in total including the black with leather peak ‘Big Logo’ piece above, and the Shocktrooper cap with desert camo peak. There are a bunch of T-shirt options too, ranging from big logo pieces to some bold graphic shirts, and my two personal favourites, the purple striped ‘3-way’ and the black, white, and grey camo pocket tees, featuring the same print as the aforementioned snapback.
It’s the ‘Ups and Downs’ Sweatshirts and the two jackets that really stand out though. First up, the ripstop nylon anorak, although simple in it’s construction, looks to be a great choice for keeping out the wind and rain, with it’s sealed zipper and mesh lining – the purple really pops against the black too. Second is the all-black-everything Field Jacket, which looks like an excellent piece all round – subtle details like the branded button snaps, embroidered logo on the left arm, and sealed-zip chest pocket make a huge impact, plus it’s waterproof and jersey-lined for extra warmth.
It’s always nice to pick up a piece from a brand that isn’t readily available in the UK, and it helps when it’s as good as this. Check the lookbook out below and watch out for it landing at Manchester’s Wood within the next week.
