Introducing: ROOK Holiday 2011

This season we’ve had the pleasure of the arrival of a couple of new things from across the Atlantic. Californian’s ROOK are one of those things, and their collection is filled with a graphic style you may just recognise.

The collective output of two artists, Joe King and Jon Garcia, ROOK makes some pretty bold claims, but with one look at their Holiday collection, it’s easily forgivable…

“For the past six years the action sports and street wear industries have gradually been taken over by several top graphic artists,  they now have come together to form ROOK, a brand defined by its art.”

A flick through either artist’s portfolio presents you with work for Crooks, Freshjive, KR3W, Obey, Stüssy, Vans, and more, and an incredibly detailed style of illustration which has created some hugely impressive T-shirt art. ROOK is something a little different for us, lead by the art rather than a brand dominated by logo pieces. It’s a refreshing  new product line that we’re really looking forward to watching grow.

Making it’s debut in the UK for Holiday 2011, ROOK is now available from a number of stores on our side of the ocean, including The Chimp Store and Urban Industry. Get a look at our pick of this season’s designs below, as well as a couple of video insights into the brand from the men behind it.
