The good folks over at Urban Industry have just received stock of these beauties. They take the classic Timberland Abington Hiker Boot silhouette, which reaches back to a time when Timberland was the Abington Shoe Company, and see it remodelled with a complete Gore-Tex upper. As you probably know Gore-Tex is world renowned for being both waterproof and breathable, so these are sure to see you through the colder months whilst benefiting from being lightweight and comfortable.
They feature a padded tongue, D-Ring lace loops, an oil resistant Vibram outsole, and some incredibly familiar red flat laces – I actually think the laces work quite nicely against the classic Timberland shade of tan. The Hiker Boot has a very distinctive collar, bringing with it dual-functionality as it’ll support the ankle whilst also keeping in warmth. The branding is pretty minimal with only a Gore-Tex plate on the side and ‘Abington’ branded into the tongue. I think the Timberland brand is so engrained into all of our heads from such a young age, even if there was zero branding at all we’d all know what they are.
The Gore-Tex Abington Hiker Boot is available now from Urban Industry for £199, in this, and one other colour.
