Utile Clothing AW11 Jackets

Back in April we introduced you to Utile clothing, so it’s only fair we update you on their latest offerings for this Autumn/Winter. Now, it’s only a small drop, but as we all know it’s quality not quantity, and for a relatively young company I’m impressed with what they’ve brought to the table.

This drop consists of both the Sion Overcoat and the beautifully informal Chipperfield blazer. Utile has all it’s pieces made in England, and focuses a lot of their time selecting fabrics and refining cuts, so whilst adding a certain something to your wardrobe (that something that turns a good outfit into a great outfit) you’ll also find yourself wanting to wear them time and time again.

The Chipperfield Blazer is made with 100% cotton and features durable corozo nut buttons and an internal pocket, which if you look closely, the stitching is in the exact place you’d usually find a breast pocket. This is the sort of jacket that lends itself perfectly to pairing with jeans and an informal shirt. The Sion raincoat, on the other hand, is Utile’s take on a classic raincoat silhouette, made with a heavyweight cavalry twill and featuring both a hidden front placket and simple single-piece sleeve detailing.

Wether or not it was intentional, this drop is a seamless blend of workwear and the gentleman’s classics, and I’m excited to see what comes from them next.

These are both available from Number Six and Utile’s online store.
