Diamond Supply Co. Holiday 2011 Drop

Diamond Supply Co., fresh off the back of their successful collaboration with fellow Los Angeles brand The Hundreds, offer a varied collection to tide us over until Spring.

Unfortunately we see the return, once more, of the smoke rings design in this collection. Aptly named ”Smoke Rings 2”, I mentioned my disdain for this recurrent design in my post on their Fall drop last month. However, it’s reared its all too common head once more.

This collection does see some innovation on Diamond’s behalf, in the form of a collaboration with skateboarder Paul Rodriguez – The Day of the Dead inspired design, which I feel would be slightly more suited in their last drop.

Two great designs stand out for me, firstly the ”A Cutty World” tee, featured above, which incorporates both the successfully clean and basic Diamond OG Script design with the rather endearing cartoon Diamond character. The other is the ‘Charcoal’ design, where we see an unconventionally large diamond in the palm of human hands, sure to turn a few heads.

The whole collection is available now from Urban Industry.

Yeah it’s a sick hoodie but is it £85 worth of sick? On the whole I thought it was a decent drop but nothing excited me too much…
