Most of the year we keep our feet firmly grounded in the UK, but this was an opportunity too good to miss. Last weekend saw the launch of the 2011 edition of the All Gone book, the definitive street culture periodical, in the book’s cultural home of Paris, France. We were invited along by the people at Puma to check it out.
This year’s launch was a double celebration, as it was paired with a pre-release event for the next chapter in the story that is ‘UNDFTD x Puma’, which see’s the Undefeated trio once again take on the brand’s legendary Clyde silhouette. The event itself took place at the packed out Colette store on the city’s Rue Saint-Honoré where the book’s curator, Michael La MJC was joined by KB Lee, James Bond, and Eddie Cruz for a meet and greet session and the first opportunity for fans and collectors to pick up the new All Gone Book.
From early evening, the store was rammed to the rails, with fans stopping for a chat with each of the hosts, getting their new leopard print books signed and snacking on some All Gone / UNDFTD branded cookies. With the grey limited to 600, and the classic to 800, plenty of the books were snapped up.
This year’s event didn’t quite match the spectacle of last year’s Berlin launch and exhibition, but it was great to experience the true spirit of All Gone in the store, and the city, which inspired it. You can grab yourself a copy now at End Clothing, or from Hanon and Foot Patrol later this week.
