Eastpak Artist Studio 2012

Eastpak’s ‘Artist Studio’ series returns for 2012, with a new run of their classic backpacks individually customised by musicians, artists, comedians, bloggers and personalities from around the world. The new series features contributions from 10 Brits who have each made the pack their own.

Including customs by The Smiths’ Johnny Marr, comedian Tom Deacon, and London blog/brand/webstore Copson Street, the new Artist Studio series is comprised entirely of one-off pieces which will be displayed at two London locations throughout the month of February. On the 19th of March, the bags will be auctioned off, with all proceeds going to charity programme ‘Designers Against AIDS’.

While most of the packs really aren’t that wearable, the Copson Street creation (above) takes on the same appearance as their Metalheads studded hoods and is probably my favourite of the bunch. Check out the display at the JaguarShoes Gallery and Eastpak’s Carnaby Street store from February 2nd.

Mmmm… Not really feeling any of these. If you want that customised look why not just put the effort in yourself and make it that bit more personal?
